เอื้อมพร พิชัยสนิธ เป็นศาสตราจารย์ด้านเศรษฐศาสตร์ที่มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ และเป็นบรรณาธิการวารสารนานาชาติ Thammasat Review of Economic and Social Policy (TRESP) ก่อนมาเป็นอาจารย์ที่มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ เคยเป็นนักวิเคราะห์นโยบายและแผนที่สำนักเลขาธิการนายกรัฐมนตรี มีประสบการณ์ในการดำเนินการวิจัยด้านนโยบายร่วมกับองค์กรภาครัฐและองค์กรระหว่างประเทศหลายแห่ง งานวิจัยที่ผ่านมาเป็นที่ยอมรับในวงกว้าง โดยได้รบรางวัลต่างๆ ด้านการวิจัย อาทิ Applied Economics Journal Best Paper Award และ The International Conference on Social Security’s Best Policy-Oriented Paper Award นอกจากนี้ ในปี 2560 ได้รับรางวัลศิษย์เก่าดีเด่นจากสมาคมเศรษฐศาสตร์ธรรมศาสตร์สำหรับการมีส่วนร่วมในการบริการทางวิชาการให้แก่สังคม ประเด็นวิจัยที่อยู่ในความสนใจในปัจจุบันประกอบด้วย เศรษฐศาสตร์ว่าด้วยสังคมผู้สูงอายุ สวัสดิการสังคม ความไม่เป็นธรรมในมิติต่างๆ และการวิเคราะห์ภาษีอากร
Euamporn Phijaisanit is Professor of Economics at Thammasat University and the Editor-in-Chief of Thammasat Review of Economic and Social Policy (TRESP). Before joining Faculty of Economics, she was policy and planning analyst at the Secretariat of the Prime Minister. Her past policy research were in collaboration with various governmental and international organizations. Her academic work received several awards such as Applied Economics Journal Best Paper Award and The International Conference on Social Security’s Best Policy-Oriented Paper Award. Moreover, she also received Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2017 from Thammasat Economic Association as a recognition for her social contributions to public policy formulation. Her current research interests include economics of ageing society, social security and welfare provision, inequity dimensions and taxation analysis.
